About Us

The Civil Service Archery Association was founded in January 1956 as the ‘Sports Representative Body’ (SRB) for ARCHERY in the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC), now known as CSSC, Sports Leisure

CSAA archery caters for all types of bows – longbow, compound and recurve. To take part and shoot in any of the competitions, archers are required to be members of Archery GB who are the governing body for archery in the UK and affiliated to World Archery.

There is normally an indoor competition held in March where we have a 3 way competition between Civil Service, Royal Air Force and British Police and then our Own Civil Service Championships and an outdoor tournament in September which is a similar format to the indoors – there are also several other events taking place throughout the year.

All standards of archers are welcome!
